About Me

Hi,

It is my pleasure to be your child’s first grade teacher this year! I am looking forward to a great and productive school year with your child. I would like to take a few moments to introduce myself to you. I am a native of Montgomery, Alabama. I grew up in College Park, Georgia. I am a 1993 graduate of Morris Brown College where I received the Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Master’s Degree in Instructional Education at Central Michigan University, and I’ve received my Specialist and Doctorate Degrees from the University of Sarasota. I have been teaching in the Atlanta Public School System for twenty years. I have taught kindergarten, first, and third grades. For the last four years, I was the Early Intervention Teacher on the main campus. I am so excited to be returning to first grade.
